Kaduna State Mortgage and Foreclosure Authority (KADMFA) was established under Law No. 10 on June 15, 2017 to regulate mortgages, foreclosures, and the enforcement of real property transactions. Our mandate includes creating a conducive environment for Kaduna residents to access affordable mortgage financing, in line with the revised National Housing Finance Program, which requires each state to domesticate foreclosure laws to address the national housing deficit of over 23 million units. With Kaduna’s own housing gap estimated at 850,000 homes, the state took a pioneering step—becoming the first in Nigeria to pass this law and establish a dedicated mortgage authority.
Promote the Creation of an Enabling Environment for Sustainable Affordable Mortgage to Qualified Kaduna State Residents for Prosperity, Security, and Economic Growth.
To be the Leading Housing Finance and Mortgage Creation Authority in Nigeria
